The story of the protection of this nation’s honour and dignity has been written with the blood of the brave sons and daughters of India. In the long list, there appears a name of Rani (Queen) Durgavati of Gondwana. She was the only child of the Chandel King Kirti Singh Shalivahan. Her father affectionately called her Durga. Her mother died while she was a child. Since then her father brought her up with all love and care.
