Website Rules Outside Library Premises

  • Readers are requested to complete your KYC soon after your online registration process.
  • The Registration completed through the Digital Library Portal shall remain incomplete until the KYC is completed.
  • The Registration through the Website never assumes that the access and borrowing for the Public Library (For borrowing the Physical books).
  • Readers are requested to comply with the privacy policies of the Digital Library and henceforth not to involve in unlawful, illegitimate, illicit activities.
  • Readers are requested not to share the credentials like Username and Password to anybody at any concern. Doing so may involve in disqualification of the Membership.
  • Readers are requested to involve in the activity of upgrading the content by providing the feedback in the foot of the homepage.
  • The content provided in the Digital Library are under copyright issued by the respective authors and publishers.
  • Force download or any manipulation of the content shall henceforth be treated as unlawful, illegitimate, illicit activities.
  • Any concerns related to the application may please be communicated to the Email provided in the Digital Library.

Website Rules Inside Library Premises

  • Readers are requested to follow the security settings inside the desktop PC’s provided, changing which shall be treated the reader as offended.
  • Readers are allowed to carry any Books into the library by entering the same into the Ledger provided.
  • The Registration completed through the Digital Library Portal shall remain incomplete until the KYC is completed.
  • The Membership fee should be paid using any of the payment gateways available.
  • The Mobile Phones are not allowed inside the Library Premise.
  • Readers are requested to comply with the privacy policies of the TDL and henceforth not to involve in unlawful, illegitimate, illicit, activities.
  • Readers are requested not to share the credentials like Username and Password to anybody at any concern. Doing so may involve in disqualification of the Membership.
  • Readers are requested to involve in the activity of upgrading the content by providing the feedback in the foot of the homepage.
  • Readers are requested to maintain discipline and handle the assets with care and concern.
  • Readers are requested to enter their name in the register provided along with the TDL membership ID.
  • Readers are requested to carry the Identification proof while entering the TDL.

Library Rules & Regulation

General

  • The library is a place for silent and private study. Users must therefore maintain silence at all times.
  • Library materials must not be marked, defaced, mutilated or annotated in any way.
  • Consultations and discussions in the Library are strictly prohibited. The court provides other areas for such activity.
  • Users must observe copyright regulations and provision in respect of all library items.
  • The PCs in the library are meant for searching the library database and the Internet only.
  • Readers are requested to use the coat stand and baggage area provided at the Library entrance for their personal belongings.

Conduct in the Library

  • Mobile telephones must be switched off and may not be used in the reading room.
  • Discussions and consultations are not allowed in the library.
  • Smoking and eating are not permitted in the Library.
  • Notices may not be displayed in the Library without the approval of the Librarian.
  • Personal items should not be left unattended in the library. The library shall not accept responsibility for loss or damage to such items.
  • Bags, briefcases, raincoats, and umbrellas shall not be taken into the Library, but should be left at the baggage area near the exit.
  • Desks and furniture should not be moved without the permission of the Librarian.
  • Users should demonstrate courtesy to other users and staff at all times.

Membership

  • Steps to becoming a member to the Library.
  • Applicant must take application form (Rs.1/-)
  • Must fill all the relevant columns with a reference from notable person.
  • After collecting form in the Library, we send a letter to the person given address. He should come along with the letter with a Identity proof & photos.
  • Collect relevant fee with receipt.
  • Finally we provide membership cards with Chief- Librarian /Librarian / Section In-charge sign to the member with some Library Instructions.
  • Steps to barrow a book from Library.
  • Members can take books (not allow to get Reference Books) from library as pledge their each card per Book.
  • Within 15 days member must return or renewal to next date. That time must produce the books to the section in-charge.
  • There will be fine After 15 days as 1day/per Book/ Rs.1/-
  • Fee Structure
    1 Book/1 Card = Rs. 50/-
    2 Book/2 Card = Rs. 75/-
    3 Book/3 Card = Rs. 100/-

Borrowing

  • Every member shall present their own borrower’s ticket before any book is issued.
  • New Books can only be issued after technical processing has been completed.
  • Reference books, rare books, unbounded periodicals may not be issued generally except with the written permission of the librarian.
  • The members shall be allowed to refer books in the Library only after submitting their ID Card to the Librarian.
  • The librarian shall have the power to refuse the issue of a book to any member or he can recall any book without assigning any reason thereby.

Renewal of Book

  • Documents borrowed should be presented physically for renewal.
  • Documents will be renewed only if there are no demand for that Book.

Over Dues

  • If books are not returned on due date, an overdue charge of Rs 0.25/1Book/ per day will be charged.
  • The librarian can refuse to issue books to defaulters.
  • Any recovery once debited shall not be refunded.

Reminders

  • Librarian may send reminders for the overdue books.
  • Loss of Books /Damage
  • In case any book is lost /damaged by the member, the member shall replace the book or pay the double the cost of the lost book. If one book lost in the volumes of the set, the reader has to replace the whole set.

Loss of Borrowers Tickets

  • The members are responsible for the Borrower’s Cards issued to them. In case of loss of Borrower’s Card, the borrower must report immediately to the Librarian.
