Alimentazione, cultura e società in Africa: Crisi globali, risorse locali
The volume is dedicated to the relationship between food, culture and society in contemporary Africa. Researchers from different disciplines (geography, literature, anthropology, economics) are confronted with operators of international cooperation to investigate critical issues in access to food in Africa and analyze the material and immaterial resources that African societies activate in this sector. Particular attention is paid to the strategies of local communities in the agricultural and food sectors: in a global context characterized by strong imbalances, the local dimension is an important opportunity to guarantee sufficient and quality food, preserving and enhancing the environment and African cultures.
