Heart and Cross by Mrs. Oliphant

Written in 1863 by a Scottish novelist and historical writer Mrs Oliphant, ‘Heart and Cross’ is a novel which takes forward the author’s interest in women’s issues. This story is about Clare Crofton, who is leading a happily married life. But Clare is not all sorted and happy as two of her friends are involved in various adventures in India and first-wave feminist movement.
