Jerry Yang by Kalyani Mookherji

Born as Jerry Chih-Yuan Yang on 6th November 1968 in Taipei, Taiwan, the future internet mogul lost his father when only two years old. A few years later his mother immigrated with ten year old Jerry and his younger brother to the U.S. in an interesting anecdote, Yang later revealed that though his mother was an English teacher, at the time of their arrival in the United States, he himself knew only one word in the language, “shoes”.
