Per libri e per scritture

The volume contains seven essays linked together by a double thread, identifiable in the type of materials being investigated, books and writings, and in the historical-geographical location, southern Italy between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. The contributions embrace themes related to the description and cataloging of ancient manuscripts and books, to the history of books and libraries, to the history of publishing, collected with the intent to deepen what is already known or to shed light on some aspects for the first time of the circulation and use of books in the three centuries indicated and in the geographical area identified.
