The character of Sita is the live example of ideal form of Indian woman. Chastity, fidelity, modesty, forbearance, humility and kindness are the root basis of her character. Today, the entire humanity strives to emulate these basic values of life in their lives. And at this point of time remembering Sita is natural and necessary too.
Woman is the basis of moral life of the society. The more a society gives dignity to women, the more moral it becomes. Today’s woman is becoming the poster attraction of flesh. Social and family dignities are being perished due to this business of commercialisation of woman’s body. Woman becoming the attraction of life is today’s prime need. May she nourish and inspire the life as a mother, sister, wife and beloved. Therefore, Sita’s character is more relevant and important today.
