The Good Soldier by Ford Madox Ford

First published in the year 1915, the present historical fiction novel ‘The Good Soldier’ was written by English novelist Ford Madox Ford. Set in the pre-WW1 period, the novel chronicles the tragedy of Edward Ashburnham, the soldier to whom the title refers, and his own seemingly perfect marriage and that of two American friends.
